Abstract: Integrating environmental sustainability into vocational training is essential for equipping students with the knowledge and skills to support sustainable practices in their future careers. This study investigates effective strategies for incorporating environmental sustainability into vocational education and their impact on student learning outcomes. The objectives are: (1) to identify key sustainability concepts relevant to vocational training, (2) to evaluate the effectiveness of current integration strategies, and (3) to propose improvements for embedding sustainability in vocational curricula. A survey research design is utilized, justified by the need to collect detailed data from students, educators, and industry professionals. The sample size includes 300 participants selected through purposive sampling. The case study focuses on vocational institutions in Edo State, known for their commitment to sustainability. Findings revealed that integrating sustainability concepts significantly enhanced students' awareness and application of sustainable practices. However, challenges such as limited resources and lack of educator training were identified. Recommendations included increasing investment in sustainability education, providing professional development for educators, and collaborating with industry partners to incorporate real-world sustainability practices into the curriculum.
